Mrs. Vear works closely with staff, pupils, and families to foster a positive and supportive school environment.
Our Christian Vision and Wellbeing
At Houghton C of E School, our vision of ‘Learning Together in a Caring Christian Community’ underpins our commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of every member of our school community. Rooted in our Christian values of compassion, respect and responsibility, we strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where all children and adults feel valued, supported and able to flourish.
Our approach to wellbeing reflects our belief that we grow best when we work together; staff, families and pupils collaborate to promote positive relationships, emotional resilience and a strong sense of belonging. Through dedicated leadership, including our Mental Health Lead, and the use of external support and guidance, we ensure that wellbeing is prioritised and embedded across school life.
In living out our vision, we provide an inclusive and supportive environment where every individual is cared for, guided and encouraged, enabling them to develop spiritually, emotionally and socially as part of a caring Christian community.
