Spirituality
1. Creating Space for Stillness, Reflection, and Prayer
We provide regular opportunities for children and staff to pause, reflect, and pray—through daily collective worship, classroom reflection areas, and quiet spaces around the school. These moments nurture inner growth, gratitude, and a sense of connection with God and others.
2. Exploring Big Questions and Wonder
Through RE, cross-curricular links, and open-ended discussions, we encourage children to explore life’s big questions—about purpose, meaning, and belief. This helps them develop spiritual curiosity and a deeper understanding of themselves and the world.
3. Living Out Christian Values in Relationships
Spirituality is expressed in how we treat one another—with kindness, forgiveness, and respect. We model and teach values like compassion, justice, and humility, helping children and adults to grow in character and dignity.
4. Celebrating Awe and Beauty in the World
We foster a sense of wonder through nature, the arts, music, and creativity. Whether it’s through outdoor learning, art projects, or noticing the seasons, we help children connect with the beauty of creation and the presence of God in the everyday.
5. Building a Caring, Inclusive Community
Spirituality is nurtured in community. We create a culture where everyone feels valued and included, and where differences are celebrated. Through acts of service, charity, and partnership with families and the parish, we live out our calling to serve the common good.
6. Encouraging Hope and Resilience
We help children and staff to develop a hopeful outlook, especially in times of challenge. Through stories, worship, and pastoral care, we affirm that each person is loved by God and has a unique purpose, fostering resilience and a sense of belonging.
