Twelve boys and girls from Year 5 and 6 represented school at the annual Sports Hall Athletics competition. The competition took place at The University of Cumbria sports arena and, as always, was incredibly popular with schools across the city - twenty schools participated over the morning and afternoon sessions. Our team was fantastic - respectful, sportsmanlike and very competitive! Every child took part in at least one track and one field event, which included things like speed bounce, long and triple jump, javelin and lots of relay race combinations and each individual was brilliant. We are pleased to report that our Sports Hall Athletics team finished second (out of ten teams) in the morning session - our highest ever placing! We are so proud of you all and the effort and resilience you showed. Thank you to Mrs Sawyers and Mrs Howe for their help with the athletes.
