Harvest
Harvest time at Houghton School is always a special time of year. This year, it felt even more special being able to have the children back in church for our Harvest Festival after such a long time. It was exciting to see each class perform a harvest poem or song - and yes, Ash Class performed 'Big Red Combine Harvester' as tradition dictates! Mr. Johnston and Mr. Stewart shared bible readings, Reverend Towner (Andrew) spoke to us all about thankfulness to God and this year's KS2 Worship Leaders led us all in prayer.
It was breath-taking to see the mound of donations coming in from our ever-generous Houghton families. All donations are being given to 'Carlisle Key', who support vulnerable young people in our city. (There were more donations than would fit in the photo!) A huge, huge thank you for all your donations!
