The whole school went to St John’s for the Easter Service at 9.30 am.

Willow Class performed an action poem called ‘A Lamb Was Born’. Then Beech Class shared the prayers they had written.

Alex, Abbie, Niall and Ella performed a short play about the real meaning of Easter. Following this the Collective Worship Crew used 12 coloured plastic eggs to tell everyone the Easter story. The children chose members of the audience to open the eggs, whilst matching pictures were displayed on the screen so everyone could see what was inside. Each egg contained an object that linked to a part of the bible story, starting with a donkey in Egg 1 and ending with an empty egg 12. Can you remember which objects were in the eggs 2-11? If not then you can take a look at the eggs in the reflection area as a reminder. The egg opening was divided up into 4 slots, interspersed with songs the children had been learning in school.

Finally Paul dressed up as a gardener to tell us what happened in the garden after Jesus had risen from his tomb on Easter Day.

Adam Noble played some music at the  end to that we all had some time to reflect on what we had heard.
