This half term Construction Club will be busy building a variety of things; big things, small things, giant things, moving things!!!

Children will have the opportunity to develop their imagination and creative side as well as practice their engineering and construction skills.

Some of the models we make will have to be dismantled at the end of the session but I will take photos so parents can see what we have been up to.

Week 1 – we made furniture for our class bear Buddy. The children had to think about the size of the items they were making for Buddy and the stability.

Week 2 – This week our challenge was to build a model of the Eiffel Tower from straws. This proved harder than we thought but we had a good go with help from Miss Mawson, Miss Harvey and Mr Hodgson. Here are our models….

Week 3 – Big Build

This week we had a great time with a room full of cardboard boxes! We made…. a house, a car, a pyramid, a castle and a bridge.

The children were all very creative with their ideas and worked really well as a team.
