Beech Class researched war memorials; this research was used to inform their designs for WW1 memorials. Clay was used to construct the designs. Children learnt a range of techniques and how to join clay using slip. The children produced marvellous sculptures.

Beech Class learnt about why poppies are used as a remembrance flower. Children had a a two minute silence to remember soldiers who have died and have been injured in past and present conflicts.

Children used a running stitch to sew their own poppies.
