A soldier came to visit KS2. He described what it was like to be a soldier in World War One: the uniforms, food, life in the trenches, weapons and the dreadful fighting. The children got to explore real weapons from WW1, photographs and to try on uniforms. He told the children lots of interesting facts and they performed the famous song ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary.’
